Lucio Fontana's exploration of the 4th dimension, a free space with no Earthbound limitations of gravity and proportion is the source of inspiration behind APAR's latest Edition.

I believe Fontana was searching for space for humanity and culture within a technologically advancing world and that he recognised that art was going to be key to achieving this. A belief that I hold true, even in today's AI paranoid world.

For me, the lacerations into his canvases act as a metaphor for black holes puncturing the very fabric of our universe - a persistent reminder of our own, human existence.
